Inshore & Coastal Combi (Kustskepparintyg Direkt in English)
In this affordable package, you will start with the Inshore Yachtmaster (Förarintyg in English) and continue with Coastal. The course is based on NFB's instructions, incuding collision regulations, light and nightsailing, navigation marks, calculating speed, time, distance and positioning.
Kursbeskrivning
The Coastal Yachtmaster certificate (Kustskepparintyg in English) is a requirement for you who want to drive a pleasure boat that is longer than 12 meters and has a beam larger 4 meters. Most boat rental companies in Sweden and abroad require and approve this certificate.
In this affordable package, you will start with the Inshore Yachtmaster (Förarintyg in English) and continue with Coastal. The course is four days plus the final examination. This combination course is one of Sjösportskolan's most popular courses. The course runs from kl. 09 to 18 every day.
Sjösportskolan is the first school in Sweden to be accredited to issue ICC. Once you have passed the Coast Guard Certificate, Boat practise and VHF / SRC, you are able to apply for an "ICC <24m Power and Sail Coastal" ICC is an international certificate, which can be useful if you want to rent a boat abroad.
Starting from February 1, 2025, all exams for recreational courses will be conducted digitally. Please note that the new exams will only be offered in Swedish.

Participants are required to study at home between the lectures.

Inshore Yachtmaster:
- Day 1, 9 am -6 pm, Theory
- Day 2, 9 am -5 pm, Practical boat training and rehearsal.
The Inshore Yachtmaster exam starts at 5 pm the second day.
Coastal Yachtmaster:
- Day 3, 9 am - 6 pm, Theory
- Day 4, 9 am - 6 pm, Rehearsal
The Coastal Yachtmaster exam starts at 6 pm Wednesday after the last day of the course, in Stocksund day 2 at 3:30 pm!

- Litterature: Course book, "International Certificate of Competency Sail Boat Coastal”, Exercise chart 931 or 616
- Tools: Divider, protractor and nautical ruler
The study package is distributed on the first course day.

There will be 2 theoretical tests, one for the Inshore and one for the Coastal.
The Inshore Yachtmaster exam starts at 5 pm the second day.
The Coastal Yachtmaster exam starts at 6 pm Wednesday after the last day of the course, in Stockholmday 2 at 3:30 pm!

You must purchase the exam on the NFB website no later than two days before the course starts. The exam costs 325 SEK and is valid for 12 months.Please note that either Boat Practice Day or Night must be registered before you order the test for the Coastal Diploma.
On the Exam Day:

Bring a laptop or tablet to take the exam.

The exam fee of 325 SEK is payable via Swish to the exam supervisor at the exam session or in connection with booking the course.

Don't forget to bring valid identification!
The exam is graded digitally immediately after completion. If you pass, your Inshore and Coastal Diplomas will be registered with the Swedish Council for Education and Training of Yachtsmen (NFB).
